The Rich Hill High School book club met on Thursday, November 29th after school in Mrs. Wheatley’s room. The group discussed “Watchers” written by Dean Koontz. The book is about two genetically altered animals from a government laboratory. One is a lovable dog with amazing intelligence. The other is a horribly violent monster. Both creations are involved in a suspenseful story.
Eight members met to discuss the book. When asked to rate the book on a scale of 1-5 the book received 4’s or higher from each member.
Reading selection for the next meeting was discussed with a vote being taken between “The Jungle” and “The Night Circus” with “The Night Circus” coming out on top.

The Rich Hill junior high girls played the Osceola Indians Thursday, November 29th.
The game was close throughout and it looked like the game could go either way. However, with a combination of multiple turnovers, the inability to get the ball in the basket, and questionable officials allowed Osceola to pull ahead. The final score ended at 26-16, Osceola winning.
The B game ended in a closer score of 21-17, with Osceola also winning.
Pictures to be added.
Last night the Lady Tigers faced off against the Midway Lady Vikings. The team could not get the win but they did not go down without a fight. The game started out slowly, neither team could get their shots to fall. The Lady tigers began in the lead but slowly sank below the vikings and were held there. They tied up the game several times, but just couldn’t break through and take the lead. The final score of the game was 29-33.
Tonight they travel back to Archie to face off against the Drexel Lady Bobcats at 7:30.

Mrs. Klinksick took her Studio Art class and students from any other art class with a 97% or higher to the Kemper Art Museum. The students where lead around the museum and given facts about the art. “Most of the art” says Shadoe “was abstract expressionism but there were several pieces of map art.” “An interesting piece was of a 3D globe that you could walk into. The map of the globe was on the inside and it was an aerial view of all the places America had bombed” “When you talked inside the globe it gave you the impression of being in the aircraft!”
