The Clock Has Started

Official word has been received that the Rich Hill School District will be receiving the FEMA grant to build a safe room.  The Rich Hill Board of Education invited the teachers in the Rich Hill District to come in early this morning for donuts and a look at the possible plans for a safe room / gymnasium and a chance to ask questions and share any concerns.Option C copy

Another Win

The Lady Tigers challenged the Lady Miami Eagles last night here on our turf. Jessica had 16 points, 7 rebounds, 6 steals, and 3 assists. Brhett had 12 points and 7 rebounds. Ashlyn had 11 points, 6 rebounds, 5 steals, and 5 assist. Kenda had 6 points, 3 steals, and 2 assist. Alexis had 4 points, and 3 rebounds. Jordann had 3 points, 3 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Robin had 2 points and 3 rebounds. Breanna had 2 points and 2 rebounds. Hayley had 2 rebounds, 1 steal, and 1 assist. Allison had 1 point, and 3 rebounds. The team shot 35% from the field, 55% from the free throw line, and had 13 turnovers. Coach Harkrader had few words to say, “Well done Lady Tigers!”

The Rich Hill basketball team plays tomorrow night at home against NEVC.

The Rich Hill High School and JV Teams

The Rich Hill High School boys improved their record to 13-6 with a 59-23 win over Miami Eagles. The scores were:

Rich Hill J.V. High school Boys played 1/2 game vs. Miami & won 28-9. The scores for this half:

Little League Basketball

On Saturday there was a full day of the Little League. The first game started at 9:00 a.m. and the last game started at 4:15 p.m. The Tigers played the Adrian Blackhawks. The 6th Grade Girls won again this week. The remaining teams fell to the Blackhawks.

Varsity & J.V. Boy’s Basketball

Your Rich Hill Tigers lost yet again to Archie on January 25th in the Consolation game of the 83rd annual Archie Tournament. Their record now falls to 12-6.

Last night the Junior Varsity boys beat the Jasper Eagles in a hard fought battle by a score of 54-46.

Senior Spotlight: Amanda Burchell

Amanda has been a part of the Rich Hill School all her life. She was on the varsity basketball team her freshman year. She helps in the early childhood room in the Elementary section of the Rich Hill school every day. Amanda enjoys hunting, being outdoors, and riding horses. She also enjoys shopping with friends!

I plan to attend Pitt State, but do not have a major in mind yet.

Attention Soccer Players!!!

Students in the age groups from 1st grade to 12th grade who are interested in playing soccer should read this article!

Rich Hill will be playing soccer this spring as part of the South 71 League. The age groups will the 1st and 2nd graders, 3rd and 4th, 5th and 6th, 7th 8th and 9th, and the 10th 11th and 12th graders. All the games will be away with no home games. A uniform shirt, accident insurance and a medal will all be provided. There will be 2 practices held each week.  At this time there is a guarantee of six games. Sign up costs will be $45. Please contact Slade Counce, Heidi Tourtillott, or any other member of the Rich Hill Ball Association for more information or to sign up.
