Sportsmanship Trophy!

The Lady Tigers played the Lady Blackhawks for Consolation. Brhett had 13 points, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 steals. Ashlyn had 10 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assist, and 4 steals. Jordann had 8 points and 3 rebounds. Allison had 6 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Kenda had 6 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 assists. The Lady Tigers shot 26% from the field and 52% from the free thow line. Michele Harkrader says, “Shooting 52% from the free throw line usually doesn’t win many games but in this game it was the difference. We shot 31 free throws to Adrians 4. We were more disciplined and aggressive than a good Adrain team. Rich Hill boys and girls won the sportsmanship trophy which we can all be proud of.”

The Lady Tigers play Tuesday night at home against Miami.

Snowmen Of The Elementary

The 4th and 5th grade students in Mrs. Bell’s class have been learning about value. Part of the assignment is learning how to take a two dimensional circle and make it look like a 3 dimensional sphere. Students practice blending from dark, to medium, to light to create the illusion of light falling upon the snowman, and then creating shadows. They used oil pastels which are great for blending colors together.  Students also touched on horizon line and how proportions change as the face and body are turned in another direction as opposed to being viewed head on. Here is some of their work.
