The Rich Hill Schools hosted another successful assembly honoring local veterans. Everyone in the school system had the opportunity to participate in a variety of manners.
Veterans and guests were greeted by local senior FFA officers. Jacob Rapp, Riley Cameron, Allison Steuck, Hayley Klinksick, and Madison Wheatley. Jacob started the assembly by welcoming guests. Katy Arnold sang the national anthem followed by the pledge of allegiance.
Kindergarten through sixth grade then shared the song “America of thee I Sing”.
Mrs. Gretchen Will recognized the veterans in attendance after which the Junior high and high school band students shared three numbers.
The guest speaker was Patriot Guard Ride Captain Frank Rinehart. He shared some of his experiences as part of the Patriot Guard.
He was followed by the RHHS choir and a video presentation of our local veterans. The assembly came to a silent conclusion with the playing of Taps by senior Caleb Titus.
Many veterans stayed to enjoy a luncheon prepared by the school staff.
