WEMO Conference Results

For the second night in a row the Lady Tigers traveled to Appleton City last night (12/2) to take on another  opponent in the WEMO tourney. The Archie Lady Whirlwinds provided Tuesday nights competition. Both teams started out slowly and found it hard to get into a good offensive flow but by the middle of the first quarter the Rich Hill girls took a 5-0 lead only to let it slip away by allowing Archie two 3 pointers.  However, by the end of the 1st quarter the girls had retaken the lead 7-6. During second quarter costly turnovers again plagued the Lady Tigers as they trailed at half time 14-19. The third quarter remained close and the girls only trailed 22-28 at the end of the 3rd. During the fourth quarter foul troubles and turnovers mounted and the Lady Tiger were never able to regain momentum and fell to the Whirlwinds 28-42. Coach Morgan commented that the girls were playing better defensively but needed to cut down on turnovers and get a few more shots to fall. Allie Taylor led Rich Hill in scoring with 16 points followed by Taylor Brooks with 4. The Lady Tigers play again on Friday night at 4:30 against either Midway or Appleton City

As reported last night the varsity boys won their first round game of the conference tournament vs. the Drexel Bobcats on Monday night. The boys record is now 2-0
