Wins in Appleton City

The varsity boys and girls both traveled to Appleton City last night to play in the first round of the Appleton City Tournament.

Coming off a nice victory against Archie on Friday the Lady Tigers hoped to post another win. In the first quarter the Tigers started the game with a strong zone press causing the Lady Panthers to turn the ball over several times leading to several scoring opportunities. At the end of the first quarter the Tigers had built a 19-5 lead. In the second quarter the Tigers were able to go the bench freely and get several players more playing time. The Lady Tigers were able to extend the lead at the half 30-7. Coming out for the second half the girls continued to build the lead and never looked back and at the end of the game won 53-15. It was a nice victory for the Lady Tigers who will play again against the winner of the Hume and Northeast Vernon County match.
