Save Your Pop Tabs

Don’t forget to save pop tabs over the summer!  The school will be starting the contest in August and running it through the end of March. Remember the tabs can be found on can goods as well as beverages! SAVE! SAVE! SAVE!

While saving and collecting, add BOX TOPS, BEST CHOICE LABELS, and Campbell’s LABELS FOR EDUCATION (BARCODES) to the list as well.

Summer Reading Program

The school library will be open 8 to 10 am on the following dates: June 1, 3, 8, 11, 15, 17, 22, and 25.

The goal is to keep reading skills up over the summer. Students in grades K through 6th may come in on those days to read, take AR tests, or to receive help with reading. AR points earned during the summer WILL count towards the upcoming school year!

Donate to Locks of Love

There will be a new and exciting event that will be taking place in February of 2016. During that month, the elementary has their annual Pennies for Patients fundraiser. This year, there will also be a raffle for the opportunity to cut a teacher;s hair, which will be donated to Locks for Love or a similar organization. There are hair stylists who have volunteered to come in and any student who would also like to make a hair donation (8” or longer) may do so and get a free hair style after donating.

This is notice is being given months in advance so that no one would get their hair cut during the summer IF they might want to donate to this worthy cause. There will be more information available when school starts. Thanks and have a great summer!
