Each October the Breast Cancer Foundation holds a campaign to increase awareness of the disease and promote measures to detect the disease in its’ early stages. The Rich Hill volleyball teams have several activities planned as contributions to this campaign.
The volleyball teams will be selling “paper volleyballs” on which they will honor those who have fought cancer and won or as a memorial for others. There will also be a bake sale, snow cones and an auction at the Thursday night games against Midway. The auction will be for baked goods contributed by members of the varsity team. All of the funds raised with these items will be donated to a local woman who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
In addition to these funds, all money raised through admission to the games on Thursday will be donated to further research looking for a cure for the disease.
