The JV and Varsity boys both started their season on a positive note by defeating the Jasper Eagles on November 24. In the JV contest both teams came out hot offensively and were tied at 12 points apiece at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter of the contest the Eagles took advantage of some turnovers and took a slim 22-19 advantage at the half. The second half however, belonged to the Tigers. Rich Hill exploded for 15 points in the 3rd quarter and added another 12 in the 4th to make the final score 46-39.

In the varsity boys contest the Tigers jumped out quickly on the Eagles to take a 17-12 lead at the end of the first quarter. Good free throw shooting and aggressive defense helped the Tigers extend their lead to 38-25 at the half. Much like the JV game, the second half saw the Tigers extend their lead over the Eagles. The score at the end of the 3rd quarter was Rich Hill 59 Jasper 39. During the final eight minutes the Tigers extended their lead to win the game by a score of 75-53.
