Varsity Boys Headed to Championship Game

The Varsity boys improved their record to 3-0 last night and also advanced to the WEMO Conference Tournament Championship game with a 58-40 win over the Drexel Bobcats. From start of the game it was evident that the game would be played very physical. Throughout the first quarter the score stayed within two points until the Tigers went on a 5-0 run to end the first quarter. The score at the end of the quarter was Rich Hill 15, Drexel 9. In the second quarter the Tigers were able to battle through the physical play and extend their lead to 29-19 at the half. After some halftime adjustments offensively Rich Hill was able to solve the Drexel defense in the third quarter and put the game out of reach. At the end of 3 Rich Hill held a 21 point lead. During the final period the Tigers at one point extended their lead to 25 points before Drexel was able to cut it down in the final 2 minutes. The Tigers will play for the Conference Tournament Championship on Saturday night vs. the Osceola Indians. Game time is 7:30 P.M.
