Lady Tigers at Lockwood

The Lady Tigers traveled to Lockwood for a non conference game on Friday night. Rich Hill came into the game with a modest 3 game winning streak. The game started out with both teams evenly matched and at the end of one quarter it was Lockwood 14  Rich Hill 13. The Lady Tigers got their offense going a little better in the second quarter and were able to take the lead at halftime 29-27. In the third quarter the girls never seemed to get into the flow offensively and held a small one point lead at the end of 3. The fourth quarter saw the game remain close with neither team able to pull away. With about 16 seconds left in the game Lockwood took a two point lead. The Tigers lead down court to set up a shot in the corner which rimmed off leading to scramble for the rebound which Rich Hill got control of but it was too late as the buzzer sounded. Lockwood defeated Rich Hill 48-46. The Lady Tigers had their chances to win the game but just were never able to get it done.

Leading Scorers for Rich Hill; Taylor Coonce with 14, Allie Taylor and Serena Duncan both had 9, followed by Taylor Brooks with 6 and Robin Schapeler and Jen Doty had 4 each.

Next action for the Lady Tigers will be the JV on Monday night at 5:30 at Midway. The Varsity Lady Tigers will return to action against their I-49 rivals the Lady Bears of Butler at 6:00 on Tuesday evening. Then on Thursday night the JV girls will play 2 quarters and the Varsity girls will face the Greenfield Wildcats to close out the Pre-Christmas portion of their schedule. The JV boys will also play 2 quarters and the Varsity boys will  play on Thursday. So with everyone in action on Thursday come out support the  teams.
