Winning Streak Continues

The Varsity Boys continued their great start to the season by posting a 71-35 win over the Class 3 Holden Eagles last night. While the score looks lopsided, the game was much closer than the score indicates in the first half. Both teams battled back and forth for the first 16 minutes of the game with neither team taking more than a 4 point lead. At the half the score was tied 22-22. The second half was a completely different story. The Tigers brought much more defensive energy which led to several fast break points. The 3rd quarter saw the Tigers outscore the Eagles by a score of 26-11. In the 4th quarter the Tigers extended their lead even farther by playing more stifling defense, holding the Eagles to only 2 points while scoring 23. The win improves the Tigers record to 11-0.

The Tigers will start conference play on Friday when they face the Archie Whirlwinds. There will be a 1/2 JV Boys game @ 5:30 followed by Varsity Girls & Varsity Boys

Scoring: Blaine Robb 21, Bryant Courter 20, Jacob Mumma 16, Cole Heckadon 8, Alec Gray 4, Aadin Humble 2
