The Rich Hill Lady Tigers completed their regular season with a loss to the Adrian Black Hawks. It was hoped that the third meeting of the season would have a different outcome. The game started out slowly for both teams with scoring hard to come by. The Lady Tigers played good defense but turnovers were again a major problem for the team. At the end of the first half Adrian led the Lady Tigers 22-10. In the second half the Tigers defense let down and were outscored 22-8 in the third quarter. In the fourth quarter Rich Hill found a little offensive life but it was too little too late with the final score Adrian 53 Rich Hill 31.
As disappointing as the last game was the Lady Tigers finished the regular season with a 17-8 record overall and a 4-3 conference record which was good improvement over last years 11-16 record. On Monday night a new season starts with districts where everybody is 0-0. The girls will play the Midway Vikings at 6 PM in the Dome.
Scoring for the Lady Tigers was Allie Taylor with 11, Jenn Doty 7, Tayor Brooks with 5, Robin Schapeler 4 and Taylor Coonce and Serena Duncan with 2 each. Rebounding Allie Taylor with 8 and Serena Duncan and Taylor Brooks with 5 each. The girls committed 27 turnovers.
A milestone was reached in the 4th quarter by Allie Taylor when on a one and one free throw she scored her 1000th point. After the end of the game Allie now has 1003 points. Congrats Allie on your accomplishment!
