Headed to State!

Several students here at Rich Hill are headed to state competition and it doesn’t involve a basketball.  Rich Hill B and C teams got up early on Saturday morning to board the bus to Warrensburg to compete in the Regional Science Olympiad.

The C team is made up of students in grades 10-12.  As a team they came out in 4th place and are eligible to compete as a team at the state competition in Columbia.  There were 5 gold medals in this group.

1st – Robot Arm / Lucas Breckenridge and Matt Starks

2nd – Electric Vehicle / Lucas Breckenrdige

3rd –  Astronomy / KJ Wright and Jamie Coppage

3rd – Wright Stuff / Sabin Bolser and Nate Kithcart

4th – Green Generation / Nate Kithcart and Serena Duncan

4th – Wind Power / Ryan Brown

5th – Dynamic Planet / Daniel Brown and Cedric Clark

5th – GeoLogic Mapping / Jason Courter and Jamison Ogburn


 While the B team did not come out high enough as a team with their 7th place finish to move on to state there are several members who will be able to compete as a result of their gold place finish.
