4th Grade Field Trip

The Rich Hill 4th graders had the chance to visit George Washington Carver National Monument in Diamond, MO last week.  Students got to go on a leisurely 1 mile guided hike through the woods where George grew up. Along the way the group learned many facts about this famous Missourian. George Washington Carver is best known for his many inventions with peanuts. As part of the experience students got to participate in a lab in which they made peanut milk.

Successful Day at Sectionals

Qualifying RHHS Track & Field athletes participated in Class 1 Sectional 2 action on Saturday in Ozark, MO. The girls will not lose any athletes leading up to state competition, as they all qualified through in each event they participated in. Both teams had a strong showing and look forward to contending for an overall top four team finish at the state level. The top four athletes in each event advance to the State Track Meet in Jefferson City on May 21 & 22. Although the javelin was not thrown at districts or sectionals, Blaine Robb and Michael Clark each earned a top 16 spot in the event during the regular season and will compete at state.
