RH Tiger Football

The Rich Hill Tiger Football team will take the field at home this Friday night against Lincoln.  Mr. Marcus Wolfe is head coach once again this year with assistant coaches Steven Mcsperitt and Eddie Long.
The team finished last year’s season with a 3-7 record overall and a 3-4 record in the WEMO conference.  Coach Wolfe sees the team’s strengths as the seniors who will be playing in key positions on both sides of the ball as well as having several experienced underclassmen available to fill in the rest of the starting lineup .
A weakness for the team will be the limited numbers on the sidelines.  There are 25 total players which will mean more reps for players on the field and challenges filling in positions in the event of injury.
Offensively the Tigers will feature the spread offense and some pro formation. Both of these give a balanced run/pass attack according to Coach Wolfe. Defensively the team will run a 4 and 5 man front with various coverages.
The Tigers graduated 7 seniors, all of whom had significant playing time. Bryant Courter accounted for 16 touchdowns last year, McCrae Klinksick anchored the offensive line. Jacob Mumma and Kyle George were stand outs on defense. Lucas Breckenridge, Zeke Doty, and Ryan Malone were also solid team players that have left holes being filled by younger players.
Returning lettermen are Dalen Lewis, Bryce Lewis, Jacob Querry, Dillon Tourtillott, Wyatt Walton, Taron Mumma, Aadin Humble, Dustin Gray, Kalen Thorp, Brendan Ephland, Jamison Ogburn, Adam Bridgewater, Garrett Brooks, Myles Becker and Houston Bridgewater
Following is the likely starting lineup for the Tigers.

Tackles: Houston Bridgewater & Jamison Ogburn

Center: Brendan Ephland

Coach Wolfe has a positive outlook for the coming season stating, “We have a new attitude, with a new team and everyone involved is excited about the upcoming football season!”
