The Rich Hill Tigers faced off with the Appleton City Bulldogs this past Friday evening in their second home game of the season.  Along with a close football game fans were also able to enjoy the “Little Cheerleaders” and the Tiger Marching Band’s half time show.

The Tigers played the Bulldogs a close game but unfortunately were not able to walk off the field with a win.  The final was score 13-18.

According to head football coach Marcus Wolfe it was another hard fought game, in which the team showed much improvement. There was a costly pick 6. Aadin Humble’s catch late in the 4th quarter was a spectacular showing of his abilities that gave the Tigers the opportunity to drive and score to win, but the team came up short on the pass. In the final seconds the Tigers could have gotten the ball back with about 23 seconds left, but a defensive penalty gave the Bulldogs the first down to seal the win.
“The players are working harder than ever physically because there are several that do not come off the field, due to low numbers. The continued growth of the Tiger football squad is apparent and this close game strengthened the team’s resolve to get better, both physically and mentally for Adrian” -Coach Wolfe
