The Rich Hill boys traveled to Adrian last night for their first round game against the Osceola Indians in the conference tournament. The preseason seeding determine with the loss of three seniors from last years team the Tigers would be seeded 6th and meet Osceola who was seeded 3rd. Coach Moles used the lower seeding to motivate his team to prove they could play with any team in the conference. Both teams came out ready to play and were determined not to get behind their opponent. After the end of the first quarter the Tigers lead 13-12. In the second quarter the game remained nip and tuck and at the half the team from Osceola lead the Rich Hill Tigers 27-25. At half time Coach Moles made some minor adjustments to his defense to slow Osceola down and it seemed to work. The Tigers played better defense and were able to go on a nice little run and took a 47-36 lead into the fourth quarter. The Indians were never out of the game making nice runs at Rich Hill but in the end the Tigers defeated Osceola 64-55. Coach Moles commented that it was a good team effort and the defensive changes were a large contributing factor in the win. The Tigers placed four players in double figures in scoring. The Tigers will move into the semi-finals on Thursday night at 9:00 against the Adrian Blackhawks . Adrian defeated Appleton City on Monday night to advance .
