Tough Loss to Drexel

The boys traveled to Archie for a second round contest against the Drexel Bobcats. This would be the first meeting between the conference rivals with both teams sporting similar records. The Tigers came out slow and never were able to get in rhythm in the first frame and found themselves trailing 5-10.

In the second quarter boys were able to put together some small runs and able to close the gap to trail at the half 17-19.

In the third quarter the team was able to get the offense more on track and finally take the lead after three 31-30.

As would be expected neither team was able to pull away and the game remained close to the end. In the final minute the Bobcats were able to score a bucket to take a two point lead. With less than ten seconds left the Tigers set a play to tie the second but were unable to get off the shot the wanted thus falling to Drexel 42-44. If was a disappointing loss for the Tigers but the will have a short turn around time to play on Saturday at 4 PM against Adrian for third place.

The Tigers placed seven players in the scoring column for the night. The Tigers will get little rest in the next week as they have a four game week starting on Monday night at home against KC Lutheran starting at 5:30.
