The Tigers took to the floor Monday night to play the first game of a four game week. The opponents for the night would be Kansas City Lutheran Knights. The Tigers were coming off a victory on Saturday night but had little turn around time. The first quarter saw the Tigers playing a little sluggish and Lutheran jumped to an early lead but with determination the Tigers were able to fight back and were trailing 16-22 at the end of one.
In the second quarter the Tigers were able to keep pace and were able to pull within four at the half and trail 31-35.
The second half started out much better and with a lively pace the Tigers put the offense in gear and played a little better defense and took the lead 44-42 after three quarters.
In the fourth quarter the defense let down and allowed the Knights to shoot open threes and connected on three of them in closing moments of the game which allowed the Knights to win the game 60-55.
With the loss the Tigers record dropped to 12-6 for the season and will again play on Tuesday at Midway starting at 5:00 with the JV boys.
The Tigers had three players in double figures with Dalton Smarr leading the way with 16 points, Alec Gray had 13 followed by Kolby Steuck with 11.
