Women Legislators of Missouri Scholarship:  Women Legislators of Missouri are encouraging young women, set to graduate from high school, to apply for a $500 college scholarship. Each year the group selects one student from each of Missouri’s congressional districts to receive the award.

The Missouri Educators of Family and Consumer Sciences and Human Services funds two different scholarships every Spring.  We would like to encourage you to share this information with current and previous students and encourage them to apply.
$1,000 High School Scholarship- This scholarship will be awarded to high school seniors with a grade point average of at least 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale and plan to obtain an education degree in Family Consumer Sciences and Human Services Education at a Missouri college or university.
$1,000 College Scholarship- This scholarship will be awarded to college students who have at least 60 credit hours or will have 60 credit hours (college sophomore or junior) at the completion of the current semester; have a grade point average of at least 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale; and plan to obtain an education degree in Family Consumer Sciences and
Human Services Education at a Missouri college or university.

The Missouri Bankers Foundation (MBF) provides college scholarships for graduating high school seniors interested in pursuing banking and banking-related careers.

The Missouri Bankers Foundation is pleased to announce the MBF Scholarship Program for 2017.  Seven $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to 2017 high school graduates for their first semester tuition payment and/or college expenses. One scholarship recipient will be chosen from each of the seven geographical regions pictured below.

Ellis Scholarship Information

The qualifications for The Ellis Foundation Scholarship:

  • The student must be a high school senior
  • The student must attend one of our participating colleges (see our website for a complete listing)
  • The student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • The student must have a minimum 20 ACT
  • In addition, we rely on your judgment and personal knowledge of the students to recommend only those apply who meet these qualifications, shows respect, discipline, and has an appreciation for helping others.  We also seriously consider the financial need of each student.

The Ellis Foundation Scholarship Guidelines:

  • The Scholarship pays $1000 per semester for up to eight consecutive semesters
  • The funds can be applied for books, on-campus housing, tuition and college fees
  • Students must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA each semester
  • Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours each semester
  • The student must participate in The Ellis Mentoring Program

Project 21 Scholarship – 2017-project-21-application  The Project 21 Scholarship Program provides Missouri students an opportunity to disseminate their message by writing an article or creating a poster or video addressing the issue of underage gambling.  Two (2) $1,500.00 first prize scholarships and Four (4) $1,000.00 second prize scholarships will be awarded.

Local Scholarship Application 2016 – Application for numerous local scholarships.  Application deadline is March 31, 2016

Women Legislator’s Scholarship As in the past, members of the Women Legislators of Missouri will sponsor a scholarship for graduating high school senior girls in Missouri. This group will award eight scholarships, one from each Missouri U.S. Congressional District. The scholarships will be $500.00 each.

Opal M. Huffman Charitable Trust Fund

Opal M. Huffman, a long time resident of Bates County, Missouri, established the Opal M. Huffman Charitable Trust for the purpose of providing scholarships to residents of

Adrian and Butler, Missouri communities and surrounding areas.

Eligibility:

The students eligible for assistance are as follows:

  • The recipient must be resident of Bates County, Missouri;
  • The recipient must be under the age of twenty five;
  • The recipient must have a high school diploma or GED; and
  • Scholarships may be awarded for post secondary education; including but not limited to: universities, colleges, junior colleges and trade/technical schools.


Amount:

$2,500 first semester, renewable for $1,000 per semester

2016 Project 21 Scholarship –The Missouri Gaming Association is pleased to announce the 2016 Project 21 Scholarship Program.  This is the twentieth year the scholarships will be awarded.  The goal of the scholarship program is to not only to inform youth that it is not permissible in Missouri for persons under the age of 21 to gamble in a casino, but also to educate them about the dangers and consequences associated with underage gambling.

The Project 21 Scholarship Program provides students an opportunity to disseminate their message by writing an article or creating a poster or video addressing the issue of underage gambling.  Two (2) $1,500.00 first prize scholarships and Four (4) $1,000.00 second prize scholarships will be awarded.

The article, poster or video entry, completed application and other required documentation as outlined in the application must be received by MARCH 1, 2016.
