The Missouri Bankers Foundation (MBF) provides college scholarships for graduating high school seniors interested in pursuing banking and banking-related careers.
The Missouri Bankers Foundation is pleased to announce the MBF Scholarship Program for 2017. Seven $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to 2017 high school graduates for their first semester tuition payment and/or college expenses. One scholarship recipient will be chosen from each of the seven geographical regions pictured below.
The qualifications for The Ellis Foundation Scholarship:
- The student must be a high school senior
- The student must attend one of our participating colleges (see our website for a complete listing)
- The student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA
- The student must have a minimum 20 ACT
- In addition, we rely on your judgment and personal knowledge of the students to recommend only those apply who meet these qualifications, shows respect, discipline, and has an appreciation for helping others. We also seriously consider the financial need of each student.
The Ellis Foundation Scholarship Guidelines:
- The Scholarship pays $1000 per semester for up to eight consecutive semesters
- The funds can be applied for books, on-campus housing, tuition and college fees
- Students must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA each semester
- Students must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 hours each semester
- The student must participate in The Ellis Mentoring Program

Project 21 Scholarship – 2017-project-21-application The Project 21 Scholarship Program provides Missouri students an opportunity to disseminate their message by writing an article or creating a poster or video addressing the issue of underage gambling. Two (2) $1,500.00 first prize scholarships and Four (4) $1,000.00 second prize scholarships will be awarded.
Soil and Water Conservation Scholarship: $2,000 Scholarship available for students who plan on pursuing an education in conservation or natural resources. Due the Monday after Thanksgiving.

PEO Scholarship Chapter HV – Chapter HV of the PEO Sisterhood is offering this scholarship to females who reside in Bates County. The application should be completed and turned in to the counselor’s office by April 1st.

Women Legislator’s Scholarship As in the past, members of the Women Legislators of Missouri will sponsor a scholarship for graduating high school senior girls in Missouri. This group will award eight scholarships, one from each Missouri U.S. Congressional District. The scholarships will be $500.00 each.
Opal M. Huffman, a long time resident of Bates County, Missouri, established the Opal M. Huffman Charitable Trust for the purpose of providing scholarships to residents of
Adrian and Butler, Missouri communities and surrounding areas.
The students eligible for assistance are as follows:
- The recipient must be resident of Bates County, Missouri;
- The recipient must be under the age of twenty five;
- The recipient must have a high school diploma or GED; and
- Scholarships may be awarded for post secondary education; including but not limited to: universities, colleges, junior colleges and trade/technical schools.
$2,500 first semester, renewable for $1,000 per semester

Bates County Farm Bureau Scholarship
Bates Co Scholarship Application(revised Jan 2013) (2)– The application for the scholarship is due on April 1st. Family members need to be a member of Farm Bureau.
America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders Scholarship – America’s Farmers Grow Ag Leaders Scholarship. Applications accepted from November 15 – February 1st. For students who plan to pursue a degree in an agriculture related field.
US JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship – The United States JCI Senate Foundation awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the United States who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools.

2016 Project 21 Scholarship –The Missouri Gaming Association is pleased to announce the 2016 Project 21 Scholarship Program. This is the twentieth year the scholarships will be awarded. The goal of the scholarship program is to not only to inform youth that it is not permissible in Missouri for persons under the age of 21 to gamble in a casino, but also to educate them about the dangers and consequences associated with underage gambling.
The Project 21 Scholarship Program provides students an opportunity to disseminate their message by writing an article or creating a poster or video addressing the issue of underage gambling. Two (2) $1,500.00 first prize scholarships and Four (4) $1,000.00 second prize scholarships will be awarded.
The article, poster or video entry, completed application and other required documentation as outlined in the application must be received by MARCH 1, 2016.
